This project involved the design of fire alarm systems for two buildings, Eastman Tower and Waterbury Hall, for the University of Albany. Eastman Tower is a 23 story dormitory tower on the University of Albany Main Campus. Waterbury Hall is a 113,200 s.f. dormitory building on the University of Albany's Downtown Campus. The fire alarm systems serving the buildings needed to be upgraded to addressable fire alarm systems. The existing initiating devices, signaling devices, and notification devices were replaced, and additional devices provided to meet code requirements.

The initiating devices included pull stations, heat detectors smoke detectors, duct mounted smoke duct detectors, sprinkler service flow and tamper switches, and sprinkler flow control valve tamper and flow switches. Signal devices included audio/visual devices, telephone handsets, and remote annunciator panels at the main building entrances.
