The Plattsburgh City School District serves over 2,000 children throughout 5 schools. Located in Upstate New York, Plattsburgh is currently undergoing it’s latest Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The focus on the CIP is to improve health and safety, rehabilitate high-use areas, and to perform upgrades throughout the District. The CIP includes all five schools: Oak Street; Bailey Avenue Elementary; Momot Elementary; Stafford Middle School; and Plattsburgh High School. Delta provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services.
The District wide health and safety improvements include ventilation systems and modifications, points of entry security enhancements, and removal of abandoned equipment. Energy efficiency improvements include window replacement, automatic temperature control systems upgrades and modifications, lighting fixture replacement, airflow and ventilation system modifications, and replacement of walk-in freezer/coolers in various kitchens. General building rehabilitation include roof replacement, masonry restoration and waterproofing, floor system repairs, Middle School pool renovation, air handling unit replacement and various plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs District Wide.
In addition to the above, High Use Student and Community Areas receiving renovations include High School Locker Rooms, Middle School Science Laboratories, student locker replacement, kitchens and kitchen serving lines and air conditioning of the High School Auditorium.
Additions and alterations at Oak Street Elementary include a Music Room and Multi-purpose Room and to the High School Cafeteria.
