This project consisted of design and construction inspection for the replacement of the existing 68' steel beam and concrete slab superstructure. Bridge construction work included replacement of the steel girders, bearings, concrete deck, curbs, sidewalk, expansion joints and steel railings. Other work included pavement reconstruction and resurfacing, sidewalk replacement, new approach railings and the relocation of an under stream water main onto the underside of the bridge. Preliminary design tasks included substructure coring, alternative evaluation, environmental documentation and preparation of a Design Report. Final design tasks included bridge and highway reconstruction, water main design and maintenance and protection of vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Inspection and client support services were provided in the construction phase. This was a locally managed federally funded "pass thru" project which mandated adherence to NYSDOT design procedures and criteria.
