The University Downtown Center is a newly opened 74,000 square foot, four-story structure with classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, library and central atrium, which houses Binghamton University's College of Community and Public Affairs, along with two offices of Broome Community College. This project has been hailed as a springboard for the renaissance of downtown Binghamton. It was a fast track multiphase project, the first of its kind by the State University Construction Fund. The project is USGBC registered and in the process of attaining LEED Silver Certification. Delta Engineers was responsible for the design and construction administration of the Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical systems.
