This federal aid project involved Phases I-VI design for the replacement of an existing traffic circle carrying over 60,000 vpd with a four-lane flyover together with an adjacent modern roundabout. An extensive Public Participation Program was included with this project. Delta Engineers performed preliminary and final design for a new interchange bridge, the bridge widening of New York State Route 201 over the Susquehanna River, and the bridge rehabilitation of New York State Route 201 over Grand Avenue and the Norfolk Southern railroad. An acrylic "see-through" noise barrier was incorporated into the design of the bridge widening over the Susquehanna River, and a temporary causeway across the Susquehanna River was also designed. |
